Since finding your site I have built several dhows, one steam launch, a gunboat, and numerous Arab buildings to accompany my collection of 20mm Rose and Hinton Hunts British Infantry, Airfix Arabs, very early Minifig Bedouins and Jacklex Pathans." |

The latest from Alan is this 54mm steam pinnace made out of scrap card, with the planking and nails drawn on. The boiler is a 35mm film holder, with a small copper fitting and a piece of dowling. |

Stuart says: "The Residency is defended by Foreign Legionnaires and French sailors. The buildings are built from plain wooden blocks that it took me ages to find." Shades of H.G. Wells! |
"The stockade for Bungstarter Station is of straw panels; the rickety watchtower is scratchbuilt. The Point Wytouki tower is also scratchbuilt - as if you couldn't tell - and the defending Arab figures are mostly Britains." |
![]() "The steamer Sutton Heath in all her glory. The gatlings are ex-Timpo plastic efforts. The upper works are balsa with pukka plastic ship-fittings from the hobby shop; the paddle housings are cut from cheese packaging." |
